The S&I Objective and Fulfilling the Objective - These are the foundational documents that should guide all we do in S&I.
Teaching in the Savior's Way (2022) - The is the teacher development document for all Church teaching.
Improving as a Christlike Teacher - This evaluation can help you find areas of your teaching where you might try something new. Considering all the different kinds of students in your class, if you try something new, it will help you reach the needs of more people.
Teacher Standards Matrix - This document summarizes all the instructions found in Teaching in the Savior's Way into central topics. It also includes the three main outcomes of an S&I classroom. It's a great resource to find an area you might want to study more in the manual.
General Expectations for Institute - This documents answers questions about credit requirements, makeup work for absences, student's marking reading, entering attendance, training opportunities, and prophetic statements about Institute. Most of your students will not be concerned about receiving credit. Those who are concerned are likely BYU-Pathway students or students who are going to or are currently attending another Church school.
Effective Classroom Practices for institute teachers - Insights into effective classes gathered from observations from multiple coordinators over the years. This document gives counsel and principles about having a balance in classes, effective classroom structure, being learner focused, Christ-centered, and having variety in our lessons.
