This training focuses on using updated administrative resources, supporting students, and strengthening relationships with seminary teachers through classroom visits.
Explore the updated Leader and Clerk Resources (LCR). Learn how to review seminary registration, attendance, and graduation progress, including the new batch registration feature.
Use available reports to support students. Identify students enrolled in online classes, monitor their participation, and work with administrative assistants when additional information or assistance is needed.
Keep makeup work focused on meaningful learning. Encourage experiences that strengthen conversion rather than simply completing assignments. Exercise discretion when addressing concerns about AI-generated work.
Plan ahead for graduation and class changes. Begin coordinating graduation dates with stake leaders and work through administrative assistants when students need to transfer into or between online classes.
Make classroom visits an opportunity to support teachers. Arrange visits in advance, get to know students, observe what is working well, and share specific praise with teachers and priesthood leaders. Communicate additional needs and observations to your coordinator.
Check WISE: Make sure attendance is current and help teachers stay on top of administrative work.
Watch individual students: Identify students falling behind and help them find a class option that works for them.
Address makeup work early: Identify missing credit now and help students make it up using appropriate, consistent expectations.
Find one more: Work with teachers and priesthood leaders to identify and invite students who still aren't participating.
Support your teachers: Visit classes when possible, recognize what teachers are doing well, and connect them with help when needed.
